Good News in 2014

by on 31/12/2013

“The most powerful thing you can do to change the world is to change your own beliefs about the nature of life, people, and reality to something more positive … and begin to act accordingly.” – Shakti Gawain

A quick look around the world and this is what is shown to us!

Disasters, murders, killing, war, terrorism, fraud, corruption, deceit, poverty, economic calamities, floods, hurricanes etc…

I did not say this is the only thing happening in the world.

I said, this is what is shown to us.

What gets reported as news also gets repeated so many times that it starts to create a ‘norm’ that actually determines what we do – simply because pretty much everything we do in our lives we learn from someone else.

With all this, it is easy to get cynical, see the world as a bad place, and not trust people.

It is easy to lower our energy to suit what is shown, than rise above.

Here is my humble request.

In spite of all this, we have a choice.

We can choose to see good in humanity.

  • We can choose to do good.
  • We can choose to be kind.
  • We can choose compassion.
  • We can choose to look at good news.
  • We can in fact demand good news.

Humanity or society is not separate from us.

It is us.

Open up your ‘choice’ receptors.

We can choose to create our own good news.

Let 2014 be the start of it.

Let us exercise our choice.

Here’s to a fantastic 2014.
