“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” — John Maxwell
If you want to be regarded as a leader in your field, then you must get out in front and stay there.
When you are leading, there will be nothing in front to guide you.
You will have to make new ground.
You will have to find new ways.
You will have to boldly go where no man/woman has been before.
Along the way, you will make mistakes.
You could also get lost.
Nevertheless you stay in front.
When you slow down to join others you are not helping anyone.
If others (your prospects and customers) want to follow you, they have to step up.
Dropping back to help the slowest runner does not give that runner any incentive to speed up.
You inspire the slow runner by leading from the front and help them dig deeper to come and join you.
How do you lead your prospects?
