“If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living” – Gail Sheehy
There is a part of me that wants a comfy life.
A life where I have a job.
I get paid every month.
Come home after work, eat, and watch TV until late.
Weekends with friends, eat, watch TV until late.
Rinse and repeat every day.
This is the part of me that is looking for so-called security.
Security in minimal change.
Security in not going outside my comfort zone.
I know if I chose this path of mindless security, I will die of boredom.
- Search for security is the best way not to have it.
- Search for security is the best way to live an unfulfilled life.
- Search for security is the best way to miss the best opportunities for success.
When you want to protect yourself against change, change will be forced upon you.
When you don’t want change, you are inviting a tornado of change.
This tornado of change will completely rip you apart and re-organize your life.
Alternatively, you can test the limits of your comfort zone.
All your great opportunities lie there.
When you actively seek change in order to grow, change supports you.
Yes, it will not be comfortable.
Being comfortable is not the goal here.
Growth, success and living a life of meaning is what we seek.
You don’t have to do it alone.
Get a coach or join a mastermind group who can facilitate change.
