What to do when things are not going to plan

Kintsugi “We are all wonderful, beautiful wrecks. That’s what connects us–that we’re all broken, all beautifully imperfect.” ― Emilio Estevez

In business and in life not everything works.

Whether it is a relationship or a marketing plan, what do you do if it does not work?

To be precise what do you do if it is broken.

Let me introduce the Japanese art of Kintsugi.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with lacquer resin dusted or mixed with powdered gold.

To fix with gold.

The idea is to increase the reputation of the broken pottery by filling the cracks with gold.

Now it becomes worth more than the original.

The Japanese believe that when something is damaged or broken, it can be made to look even more beautiful than before.

It is a great reminder to all of us that we all have broken pieces in our business and they can be turned around to produce better results for us.

Where in your business can you apply the art of Kintsugi?
