Not everyone knows what you know..they way you know it!
You are unique and your experiences are unique. This makes you very special.Hence your knowledge and expertise can make a huge difference to your target market.
So why aren’t prospects knocking on my door?
- First of all you have to genuinely believe what you are offering can provide superior value to your prospects and clients. You also need to have great clarity on who your ideal client is. A lighthouse cannot help a fish in distress or a broken down car. It can only help boats in trouble. Who can you get out of trouble?
- Then your prospects are also confused. They don’t know what you know. They may not realise help is available. Or they may be reluctant to seek help because of various reasons. (cost, seeking help as a sign of weakness, head under sand etc….)
- They don’t know what they don’t know. They may not realise their situation can be improved. They may be oblivious to all the signs that if they continue along their current path, there is big trouble ahead.
- Your prospect knows they need help but don’t know how to get it. I know a lot of business people who spend all day tweeting and using face book etc…They have figured out how to get attention. But don’t know what to do with it. They have 5692 face book friends and 982356 twitter followers and only £10 in the bank? Somewhere within those ‘friends’ and ‘followers’ awaits their prospects not knowing how get help.Unless their communication brings ‘clarity’ to their prospects, noting will change.
Some examples of bringing clarity to your reader:
1.Use an industry case study
2.Use a client case study
3.Use a story from your own experience
Clarity with authenticity brings your prospect so much closer to you.
