The power of operating at ‘Full Throttle’

by on 31/08/2011

I often wonder why some of my projects succeed and others don’t!

When I look at projects that I launched, and review their success and failures, there is a common factor that seem to influence whether the project is a success or a failure.

It s better when I am at “Full Throttle”

When I approach the project in “full throttle mode” it invariably turns out to be a success. And vice versa.

“Full Throttle” ?*/#@~

Imagine you are sitting in an aircraft ready to take off. The captain announces that he is ready to take off but only at ‘Half Throttle’. Given the option would you still be sitting in that aircraft? Unless that aircraft takes off at full throttle, it cannot take off. Once the aircraft takes off at full throttle and reaches the required height then it can ease off and even go in to autopilot.

Has your business or project taken off?

Procrastination, fear of the unknown , fear of stepping out of comfort zones, limiting belief systems, blame games and excuses we give, prevent us engaging at full throttle. As a results our business or project… simply plods along without ever reaching its full potential.

How can you apply Full Throttle Behaviour?

Know your end results or destination.  Be very very clear about it. No ..if’s.. but’s.. may be’s.Take baby steps towards your goals..consistently Be consistent…Keep going no matter what….Let it take as long as it takes…and cost what it costs…Off track? …learn..adjust.. move on…Repeat steps 1-6

Full Throttle mode can and will speed up your success

I rarely come across people who operate at Full Throttle. That is also why it is rare that I come across successful people. When in Full Throttle it will take as long as it takes and it will cost what it costs.Operating at Full Throttle mode means a change in behaviour. That is why it is not easily achieved.By getting help and support from a Coach or a mentor who can help guide and hold you accountable to be at “Full Throttle Mode”, your success rate will definitely increase.
