“It is not enough to be busy, so are the ants. The question is, ‘What are we busy about?” – Henry David Thoreau
Our (late) dog was called ‘Titch’.
We got her from a Greyhound rescue home.
Because Titch was a successful racing dog, when she sees anything small and furry, her neck muscles tighten and off she goes.
That is what she was trained to do.
To chase small furry animals.
One day, one of our neighbour’s cat turned up in our garden and Titch went after the cat and caught it.
We feared the worst.
What happened next was unexpected.
Titch did not know what to do with the cat.
On the racetrack, she (along with other greyhounds) chases the rabbit, but never catches it.
So when Titch caught the cat, she did not know what to do.
Business People spending disproportionate time on social media act no different.
They go after ‘likes’ and ‘followers’ and once they get them, do not know what to do.
They have no ‘system’ to convert the ‘likes’ and ‘followers’ to a sales funnel or a ‘value bridge’.
You (and your business) are there to create profitable customers.
Never forget that.
