“The Road goes ever on and on down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the road has gone, and I must follow, if I can, pursuing it with eager feet, until it joins some larger way where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
A monkey keeper told his monkeys that they would be having three chestnuts in the morning and four at night.
But the monkeys were furious with this arrangement.
So the keeper said they might have four in the morning and three at night, with which they were all well delighted.
The number of chestnuts remains the same. But the monkey keeper achieved his goal.
There are several paths to the same goal.
But what strangles our success is the cursed ‘how’.
We spend so much time worrying about ‘how’ instead of progressing forward.
We will never be shown the true path to our goals.
I even question whether there is such thing as a true path.
All we can do his take the next steps towards our goal and trust the further steps will be shown to us.
Remember it is the journey that makes your goal worthwhile.
Enjoy whatever path you choose to take.
