Today I was talking to a mentor of mine. Amongst other things we were discussing ‘branding’ and ‘direct response marketing’.
He described the job of branding as follows: ‘brandings’ job is to recognise you or the brand when the customer comes back for more. Difficult to measure.
Direct response marketing’s purpose is to generate a lead or a customer. Easy to measure.
