Few years back Tony Robins said that the key to the right answers was to ask the right questions. It goes without say, in order to grow our business we need the right answers.
But before we get to the promised land, we have to climb some mountains. These mountains are your questions.
So let’s get right into the three questions and demand definitive answers if we are serious about growing our business!
• Who does my business serve? (or Who do I serve?). I know. It seems like a no-brainer, but in fact it’s quite the opposite. Because everything about your business depends on accurate assessment of your target audience. If you do not have the right answer, it’s simply because you have not asked the right questions. As a results your marketing communication may end up talking Greek to the Chinese.
Demand laser target answers.
(When I am working with my clients, the usual first answer that I get is “I need all the business I can therefore I will serve anyone who will pay me” – I will strongly suggest you get away from this mind set!)
• What is the single most problem your target market face? You may think that you are selling a product or service but in fact you or your business is solving a problem for your customer.
When you get answers to the single most problem your target market faces – you are ready to grab their attention like no one else. Your marketing communication will stand out miles ahead!
• How are you (or your business) looking at solving this problem like no one else can? You see, unless you solve a problem you are not going to get paid. It’s as simple as that. Can you not only solve the problem but also do it like no one else?
