The other day I bumped in to a Jedi Master. I immediately knew he was NOT Master Yoda.
He spoke perfect English.
All the words were in the right order.
I plucked up the courage to ask him about Jedi training.
He smiled and said we don’t train the chosen ones.
“We ‘un-train’ them”, he said.
What do you mean ‘un-train’? I asked.
“They have everything that they need to become a true Jedi knights. We simply ‘un-train’ them and help them let go of everything that stops them being who they are” said the Master.
I was curious.
“What do they have to let go”? I asked.
He refused to let me in on Jedi secrets.
I bribed him with a Donut.
A fried one dipped in Sugar.
“Excuses” said the Master. “We un-train the young Jedi’s to stop giving excuses”.
Excuses such as:
I don’t have enough time.
I am too busy.
I am too tired.
I don’t have the skill.
I don’t have enough money.
I know what to do but I don’t get around doing it.
I could not hear the rest because the Jedi Master could not eat and talk at the same time.
Once he finished the donut the master said, “Our young Jedi Knights do not know that they are giving excuses. They come to us with ‘Reasons why we can’t’. In Jedi, dictionary ‘reasons why we can’t’ means ‘excuses’”.
He continued. “Once we eliminate excuses their success accelerates”.
Out of nowhere Yoda appeared. He turned up in a Cloud Car to give the Jedi Master a lift back to the Jedi temple.
I heard Yoda talking to the Jedi Master.
“The Sugar your mouth wipe off”.
